For much of my life, I sought acceptance, answers, and love outside of myself. I lived in fear of abandonment and numbed myself with distractions and substances to escape the debilitating anxiety and depression that seemed to control my life. When I finally grew tired of feeling this way, I decided it was time to stop playing victim and take responsibility for the life I had created.
I longed to feel truly alive—happy, free, and at peace with myself. So, I made a decision that changed the course of my life. I realized that authentic, lasting healing had to come from within, and it was time to take back control of my health—Mind, Body, and Spirit. I began by studying self-development and wellness, changing my habits, and eventually becoming a certified yoga teacher. This marked the beginning of my transformation as I embraced healthier ways to manage my emotions, connect with my body, and cultivate a sense of inner peace.
Despite these changes—exercise, a healthy diet, and mindful practices—I still felt a deep ache within. It became challenging to get out of bed and function normally, and eventually, I turned to pharmaceutical drugs for anxiety and depression. Lexapro and Xanax, whether due to their effects or a placebo effect, gave me a sense of stability and helped me regain some footing.
At my 6-month medication evaluation, the Nurse Practitioner approved my continued use of these medications. That’s when a light bulb went off for me—I realized I had once again given away my power and innate healing ability to something outside myself. Although I do not recommend this approach to others, I chose to titrate off the medications on my own. I began trusting myself and seeking answers to who I truly was and why I was here.
I left my hospital job and joined a private medical practice in Alpharetta that specializes in Integrative, Anti-Aging, and Functional Medicine. There, I was introduced to a side of medicine that I had never been taught in nursing school—in fact, it was discouraged. This new model of care led me to become a Holistic Nurse Coach and taught me the deep connection between Mind, Body, and Spirit.
My search for knowledge continued, and I was guided to the transformative power of the subconscious mind. This led me to explore hypnosis and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), which allowed me to reprogram subconscious patterns and beliefs that had kept me stuck. Experiencing firsthand how powerful these tools were, I knew I needed to become a hypnotherapist myself, so I could guide others in breaking free from limiting thoughts, habits, and emotional barriers. Hypnosis and NLP became pivotal in my healing journey and now form the foundation of the work I do with my clients.
Through dedication, self-awareness, holistic practices, and the support of counselors, mentors, and teachers, I reconnected with myself. Looking back, I am grateful for every struggle—they shaped who I am today and led me to my true self. Now, I live with purpose, balance, and authenticity.
Today, I use my own journey to guide others as they discover their path to healing and empowerment. I believe that true transformation begins within, and my mission is to help others create the life they desire by nurturing their Mind, Body, and Spirit through the power of hypnosis and coaching. I look forward to connecting with you!
